By the time he died in 232 BC Ashoka had done more than any other man to spread Buddhism and make it a major world religion.

Ashoka belongs to Mauryan Dynasty.
He is the 3rd king of Mauryan Dynasty.
King Bindusara is the father of king Ashoka and he is the second emperor of the Chandraguptha Maura Dynasty. founded Mauryan Dynasty in 322 BC.
